What's New?
- A past pupil of the school who left in 1958 visited on
Wednesday. Unfortunately we failed to write down the lady's name and
would like her to contact us, since she left us an almost complete list of
pupils in the 1958 Year 6 photograph - probably taken to celebrate the
school's 21st Anniversary. The
photograph and list can be found through this link.
- The Year 6 presentation 'We'll
Meet Again' recalled life during the Second World War through speech,

- Current Year 5 - We have now been advised that the SATs for
2011 will continue to occupy their usual place: 9 - 13 May 2011 (the
previous government had intended moving these to June, which has caused us
some concern because of fitting in the School Journey; in the end we had to
make a decision that kept the school journey right at the end of June/start
of July.)
- In May all our Year 3 pupils had a session of Pedestrian
Training - how to cross the road safely.

successful Bring and Buy Sale in
support of Water Aid. They raised over £671, well done Year 4!

- New! In recent years we have had an internet accessed
'dashboard' that has enabled pupils to view the energy produced by our
photovoltaic cells on the roof. For staff in school, we have also been able
to monitor from a similar internet accessed 'dashboard', the school's use of
gas, electricity and water. Recently, through some of the funding we
have received, we have been able to combine and update these dashboards.
This can be accessed through the following link: dashboards.my-tmac.co.uk/bjs/
We also have the display available in school on our interactive
touch-screen.
- The 2010-11
School Development Plan can be found in the 'Policies' area of the website: this
document outlines our main development priorities for the next four terms.
