Y6 HOAC (17/5/2016)

Tuesday, and it’s time for H.O.A.C. Some of the children looked like they were going on holiday because they had to bring so many changes of clothes with them! Year 6 undertook a range of activities which included a night-line, spider web and swamp challenge (Beware of the crocodiles!). All of the children took part in the Raftastic (thanks Katie!) experience of building their own ‘lake-worthy’ raft. On a more serious note, many skills had to be employed by the children. Throughout the day they had to listen to each other’s ideas, and work together as a team. They also had to assess each other’s skills to enable them to solve an array of problems. It was lovely to see how well the children worked together and how much they are beginning to trust each other. Their mature approach enabled them to have a very enjoyable day. Many thanks to all of the adults who helped on the day, Mrs Grey, Miss Boughen, Miss Ali-Khan, Mrs O’Donoghue, Mr Hingley and Mrs Gibbons. Both Mr Potter and Mr Hardy gave up their own time to come with us too
